Gas Prices, What's The Deal Folks?

Are the people in the country being screwed by higher levels and laughed at over Tuesday tea at the local country club? How can gas go from $1.79 to $2.09 in just over a week? WTF??? If Obama really wanted to win over some skeptical citizens he would pass a law that states gas can't not rise more than "X" amount per day/week/month, whatever. This is total crap! Who is controlling the gas prices, how do they determine what they should be, and how come the government isn't looking out for the tax payers (whom pay their salaries)? What ever happened to the "We the people, by the people, for the people...?"
